Saskatchewan is a province in western Canada, sandwiched between Alberta and Manitoba. The population of the province is around 1.2 million. It is Canada’s 6th most populous province. In addition, the province boasts an international airport that welcomes all immigrants.Saskatoon is the capital of the province.

You don’t need a job offer in order to qualify for the program. It is possible to get the PR even after 35/40 years of age. You simply need one year of work experience to be eligible for this stream.A berlow IELTS score of CLB 4 is required. No fees is required to create an EOI (Expression of Interest). Only an application fee is required once an ITA has been given by the province.

More than 6000 candidates have been invited by the government this year alone. There is a points based system wherein a candidate needs to score 60 out of a total of 110. The draws conducted recently have given invitations to candidates scoring points as low as 65-70. The Occupation in Demand and SINP Express Entry Streams are the two streams available under this programme.

The SINP Express Entry Stream

An Express Entry profile needs to be created. The human factor points are higher and in the IELTS a CLB level of 7 would be required.

OID is an acronym for “Organizational Identification (Occupation In Demand)

This stream belongs to the category of International Skilled Workers. The requirements are low in general for this stream and a low IELTS level or CLB level 4 is required. This is for Candidates that are currently working in Saskatchewan. It is not required that you have a job offer from a company. There is no CRS score required for this stream and you also don’t need to qualify for the Express Entry program.

What are the NOC’s/Job Titles targeted ?

-Tech/Engineering/IT positions are most in demand. Other notable positions include real estate, sales, caretakers, registered nurses, store workers/clerks/Logistics and truck drivers.

What are the requirements for the stream ?

Education – The minimum Education required is a degree or a diploma.

ECA (Educational Credential Assessment) -From all the education outside of Canada from designated evaluation services. The different designated evaluation services includes

WES (World Education Services)

ICAS (International Credential Service Assessment of Canada)

IQAS (International Qualification Assessment Services)

ICES (International Credential Evaluation Service)

Comparative Education Services – University of Toronto.

Language Proficiency – A score of at least CLB 4 will be required for the IELTS/CELPIP for English or TEF/TCF test for the French language.

The low CLB level is easier to achieve than the high CLB 7 required for the Express Entry program. The higher your language score the higher the points for the SINP stream.

Work Experience –

1 year of work experience at a NOC skill level is required (0,A or B). The experience must be aligned with the field of study. The experience could be either recent or anytime in the past 10 years. Reference letters would be required and the work related information must be printed on the company letterheads. You need to make sure that your job does not fall under the excluded occupations category.

License Requirements/Professional Status/Certifications – For all the regulated jobs in Canada you will be required to provide training certifications/Professional status.

Additional documents might be needed depending on the experience and job profile. If any documents are missing, the application will be returned and the application fees will be forfeited.

SINP points assessment grid

In order to qualify for this stream a minimum of 60/100 points will be required. The more points you have, the more likely you are to receive an ITA from Saskatchewan

The first factor is the labour market success factor, which basically depends on how well one would adapt to the labour market. This includes education, language, age , certifications and work experience. Factor 2 is for adaptability, this basically is in regards to the family ties and connections in Saskatchewan.

This includes job offers from the province. The connections can be in the form of siblings, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, cousin etc. Even if you have any past work of study in the province you will qualify.

In the second factor, you can score a maximum of 30 points.

Settlement/Proof of Funds

Sufficient funds need to be shown in order to make sure that you can support yourself and your family till such time you get the job. The total amount is determined by the number of family members. Even if family members are unable to attend, they must be counted.

The list of the family members and the amounts are shown below

1. member $13,213

2 .members $16,449

3 .members $20,222

4 .members $24,553

5 .members $27,847

6 .members $31,407

7 .members $34,967

For any additional member it will be $3560 . If you have more money then it should be listed in the application as well. It is recommended to make an extra contribution of $500-1000 to compensate for the foreign exchange fluctuations. The amount of funds need to be in the bank account at least 3 months before making the application.

The living in Canada tool from the IRCC can help you create a settlement strategy– This online tool will help you find resources and services after you land in Canada. The plan is downloadable and needs to be attached to the application.

Once the EOI(Expression of Interest) has been submitted your profile will be active for 1 year since the date of submission. After you’ve submitted your EOI, you’ll be given a score based on the SINP grid system.

The candidates with the highest scores will be selected and on submitting all the documents an ITA (Invitation to Apply) will be given to the candidate.

The candidate will get only 60 days to submit all the documents as the ITA will expire after that. As a result, it’s a good idea to gather all of the documents ahead of time.

An application guide will have all the information once the ITA has been received. Once selected a nomination certificate will be sent by the province. The provincial nomination will get you 600 CRS points, which will very certainly ensure you an ITA (Invitation to Apply)

This is the entire information and procedures for the SINP occupation in demand (OID). There will be some additional feature and information that the consultant will share with your profile has been reviewed and evaluated.

We wish you all the best for your future endeavours and hope to work with you in the future if you decide to partner with us.

Call us now and don’t miss out on this opportunity since the government rules and regulations keep changing and this could be a potential missed opportunity.
